Doyon, Limited is one of the thirteen Native regional corporations established by Congress under the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).

With the land entitlement of 12.5 million acres, Doyon is the largest private landowner in Alaska and is one of the largest private landowners in North America. Our lands extend from the Brooks Range on the north to the Alaska Range on the south. The Alaska Canada border is our eastern border and the western portion almost reaches the Norton Sound.

Lands & Natural Resources During 1998 the Doyon Board of Directors and employees worked together to re-define and more sharply focus missions, visions, goals, and values for all segments of Doyon operations, including the Lands and Natural Resources Department. Doyon's mission is to manage prudently its ANCSA lands, focusing on promotion of balanced natural resource development and assurance that title to Doyon lands is secure. Near-term goals include: 1) increased exploration which would serve to generate additional income and job opportunities, 2) reduction of unauthorized uses of Native lands, 3) encouragement of shareholder use of Doyon lands, 4) and continuing efforts to achieve completion of ANCSA and Native allotment land conveyances.

Doyon Oil and Field Services

A major pillar of Doyon's business operations is oil field services. Doyon owns a fleet of drill rigs, which are based on Alaska's North Slope, and is involved in activities including drilling, pipeline construction, catering and facilities support, engineering and security.

Doyon Associated, LLC, is a joint venture construction company of Doyon Industrial Group (DIG) and Associated Pipe Line Contractors. Doyon Associated, LLC is 51% owned by Doyon Limited and 49% by Associated Pipe Line Contractors. Doyon Drilling, Inc. (DDI) was formed in 1982 as a joint venture between Doyon, Limited and Nugget Alaska Inc. In 1993, Doyon purchased Nugget Alaska's interest, becoming the sole owner of DDI. DDI operates on the North Slope of Alaska with five rigs designed to drill oil wells in northern Alaska conditions. Consistently striving to improve its operations, the rigs are some of the most technologically advanced land drilling rigs in the world.

Doyon Universal Services, LLC (DUS) was established in 1992. DUS provides catering, security, facility maintenance and other remote site support services to oil and gas, construction and mining facilities throughout Alaska. In the past few years it has also expanded into the urban market and currently provides services to clients in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska.

Since its beginning, DUS has met its objectives of consistent profitability, shareholder employment and safety performance.

Government Contracting

Through its government contracts, Doyon manages utilities at several Army posts and operates detention centers for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Doyon has a substantial construction division that manages and builds projects for a number of federal agencies nationwide. Doyon also provides civil services to the federal government, allowing agencies to focus on their prime missions.

Doyon Tourism, Inc. (DTI) was formed as part of the Corporation's strategic plan to expand their tourism business. DTI is comprised of the Kantishna Roadhouse, a 32-cabin lodging facility in the heart of Denali National Park, Denali River and Cedars Lodge, which consists of 54 cabins and 48 hotel rooms located six miles from the park entrance, and Kantishna Wilderness Trails, which offers one-day motorcoach excursions through the park.

Doyon Utilities, LLC was selected to take over the utilities at three U.S. Army bases in Alaska and run them until February 2058.

Doyon Utilities, LLC, a joint effort between Doyon Properties, Inc. a subsidiary of Doyon Limited, and Fairbanks Sewer and Water, will assume ownership of 12 water, sewer, heat and electricity systems at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks and Fort Greely in Delta Junction after a one-year transition period.
